TAKING A LOOK BACK AT GFS’S YEAR!

GFS Gas Flex Systems, known as the ‘Next Generation’ for innovative gas products such as CSST, cooker hoses and their patented HobLine, have had a very busy 2020! Although the year has been (and still is) seriously disrupted by COVID-19, we have carried on with business as usual as much as we can. We have overcome the obstacles thrown up by the year’s events to continue to grow as a brand and deliver on our promise to provide unique, time-saving innovative safe solutions to the gas heating market! HERE IS A QUICK LOOK BACK AT WHAT GFS GAS FLEX SYSTEMS HAS BEEN UP TO THROUGHOUT 2020. January saw us kick off the new year by partnering with the amazing stockists Tec-Supplies Group Limited, Elec Mec, and QS Supplies, all of whom were keen to sell the GFS family of products to their customers. In February, GFS signed up to exhibit at the huge plumbing and heating exhibition, #installer2020. We were looking forward to exhibiting our innovative and unique gas products, (especially GFS PLUS, the ONLY genuine pipe-in-pipe CSST solution in the UK). Unfortunately, like every event of this type, the exhibition was eventually cancelled due to COVID. Hopefully we will see you all at the 2021 event? In April we added 45m coils of GFS CSST pipe in sizes DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, and DN50 to our stock, increasing our coil size offering to support you in less wastage on site. May saw us adapt to government guidelines on social distancing, by offering our customers free virtual product demonstrations. We also posted a video tour of our manufacturing plant, showcasing the processes we employ to ensure we only deliver first-class products! In July we heard from our talented Regional Technical Manager, Melanie Collins, who described her experiences of being a ‘woman in construction’. This included details of her day-to-day duties, what her role includes, and what she really thinks of the unique GFS products she demonstrates every day. In August we were extremely pleased to announce the launch of our 2020 GFS catalogue! This detailed all of the unique, patented and time-saving gas CSST products, as well as gas cooker and catering hoses and other gas-related products that GFS is so well known for. September saw GFS support the annual ‘Gas Safety Week’ on its 10th anniversary. This is a great cause, it was great to see so many people talking about gas safety, which we obviously take extremely seriously! September also saw GFS continue to adhere to government guidelines on social distancing by offering product demonstrations outside of the business premises of suppliers. October saw the start of our popular “Ask Mel” series of social posts. This is where Mel Collins, our amazing Regional Technical Manager, answers your questions on all things GFS. In October we also launched our brand new quarterly newsletter, featuring current news, upcoming events and more. In November, and in the continuance of our strict adherence to social distancing guidelines, our Regional Technical Manager, Dan, conducted a new product meeting on the golf course! November also saw the addition of both Warrington based E Tupling, and London based London Plumbing & Heating, as new stockists of the GFS family of products. December has seen the new addition of Stuart Talbot to the GFS Gas Flex Systems family. Stuart has joined us as Regional Technical Manager for the Midlands and North West. So, as you can see, it has been an incredibly busy year for GFS. We have faced and overcome the challenges of 2020, and have much to look forward to in 2021! We will be launching some incredible new products, including the GFS Male Iron Elbow, CSST lever ball valves and our range of rubber lined pipe clips. We will be exhibiting at #installer2021 as well as PHEX 2021 and continue to become one of the UK’s market leading manufacturer of gas CSST products, gas cooker and catering hoses and other gas-related products!
