HDPE and Thermal Control

We use DMA for the glass transition (Tg) of any polymer or composite, and the lasercomp range for thermal conductivity and specific heat on larger sized samples. Nano-indentation and nano-scratch on polymers is difficult but using the new state of the art CSM Instruments systems we can allow for creep and other time-dependent properties unlike some systems where a rapid test has to be made or where the is significant thermal expansion. CSM has the lowest thermal drift and c of e of any nano-indenter so is most appropriate for polymers.
