DIN52612 Contract Testing

We offer rapid contract testing to ISO8301. BS874. DIN52612 and EN12667-2001 with a turn-around time of typically under 1 week at competitive prices. Maximum sample size 100mm thickness and minimum 50mm diameter by 2mm thick solid or <50mils low viscosity liquid. For ceramics and composites and some metals we need two samples of 50 to 60mm diameter and thickness of say 5 and 10mm or 10 and 20mm ideally. This way we can calculate out the surface resistance which can dominate the errors otherwise for materials whose thermal conductivity is greater than 0.2W/m.K. For liquids we use heat flow downwards and for solids we can use heat flow in either direction. T range from 0C mean to 150C or 250C depending on the sample. Other systems can be bought to go to lower T's (-160C mean - or try Southampton University - Engineering dept) ; and above 250C too (or try CERAM research in Stoke on Trent who test above 300C.) The NPL can test thicker samples than us and also pipe sections using the Iso8302 Lasercomp Tuber apparatus, and the BBA in Watford can test at any angle using the massive Fox 801 on a turntable to simulate any roof angle that can be imagined for the building industry with thicknesses from 10 to 300mm (or one foot!).
