Proxitron pyrometers enable contactless temperature measure-ment by detecting infrared radiation from objects. This radiation is guided into a sensor element where it is converted into an electrical signal. Pyrometers measure the temperature of metals, plastics, paper, glass, asphalt and liquids for example.
