Interceptor Isolation Valve

Forecourt Solutions Interceptor Isolation Valve Chambers are ideal for installation downstream of a full retention oil/water separator in order to prevent contaminated efflu-ent leaving the site during maintenance or an emergency. Such valves should be closed after a major spill event has occurred and should only be reopened after the spill has been removed from the oil/water separator. They can also be used to control out-flow in the event of an Ethanol fuel or AdBlue spill which because of there water solubility will not be retained by the separator. They can also be helpful in preventing the outflow of contaminated fire water should you be subject to a an EV or ICE vehicle fire on-site. Such contaminated outflow is the responsibility of the site owner.

Forecourt produces a range of different depth isolation valve chambers fitted with 4 or 6” shutoff valves which can be actuated without entry to the chamber. This enables the valves to be quickly accessed and closed in the event of an incident. Chambers a delivered to site pre-assembled to minimize installation time. They can be fitted with opera-tor safety platforms to prevent falls where valves are located deep underground as a result of installed outlet pipework on existing separators.

Our chambers are sized to enable the fitted valves to be removable for maintenance and testing to comply with recommended maintenance of such equipment. Outlet pipes can be supplied to suit site waste water pipework, the most common being 110mm (4”) or 150 mm (6”) drainage. Outlets can be positioned to simplify connection with the outlet drain. We provide one of our flexible pipe entry seals for making this connection.

The isolation valve can be removed using existing fittings to enable servicing and maintenance. The chamber can be adapted to suit you particular site requirements.
