Medical Foams

The unique 3D polymer structure of polyurethane foam allows for maximum fluid absorption and no lateral spreading. Such high retention capacities mean that our range of medical foams is often the first choice for under compression therapy – particularly within wound dressing. A high retention value is indicative of minimum leakage and therefore less risk of maceration. Recent developments of our medical foams have resulted in a unique range of silicone catalyst and latex-free grades. Following exacting production protocols, with clean room environment and utilising electronics grade water, these foams are the cleanest in the business. We have received toxicological and skin irritation regulatory approval for these foams under FDA guideline 10993-1 and this data can be provided to speed up final customer application approval. Current uses for our medical foams are: - Wound dressing - Surgeon blanket - Cleanroom swabs, wraps and wipes - Contraceptives - HME filters - Effluent water filtration
