To provide pipe freeze protection the ELSR cables are simply taped along the bottom of the pipe.For plastic pipes we recommend the use of aluminium foil tape to provide better heat dispersion. For maximum protection, trace heated pipes should always be insulated. A connection kit using crimps and heat shrink insulation (kit 4) will be required per circuit. This kit includes components to produce a cold tail connection to the trace cable and seal the end.
