Corrosion Inhibitors

For the protection of ferrous metals, Flexcrete supplies Cemprotec E942 — a cementitious and epoxy modified polymer coating which has very good diffusion resistance to all the fuels for corrosion. It can be used on damp substrates in a wide temperature range and, unlike conventional anti-corrosion systems, can be applied directly to structural steel with minimal surface preparation and without the need for primers. E942 forms a dense, highly alkaline environment which, in conjunction with corrosion inhibitors, accelerates the re-passivation of steel by chemical reaction. In this way, long term protection is provided.
