Fibrestar drums up fresh business at new HQ

Article from the Manchester Evening News: A firm which makes drums for use by pharmaceutical and chemical companies is moving to larger premises as it targets the food sector. Fibrestar Drums is investing 500,000 pounds in its relocation to a 110,000 sq facility on the Newby Road Industrial Estate, Hazel Grove Stockport. It trades from a site in Disley. The new HQ brings an additional 32,000sq foot of space and enables the firm to increase production capacity by 15%. Fibrestar is the UK's largest manufacturer of fibre or paper drums for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, producing around 10,000 drums a week. Managing director Colin Pardoe said: 'We have identified the food sector as our target market.'
