Forged with Care: A Tribute to Lives Remembered

At F.H.Brundle, we have always believed in the power of metal to shape more than just structures. Sometimes, it helps shape memories, moments, and meaning. That is why we were proud to support Heart of Kent Hospice’s Sunflower Appeal by donating wrought iron sunflowers to one of our longest-standing customers, Medway Fabrications, who brought them to life for a cause that touches so many.

A Symbol of Remembrance

Heart of Kent Hospice runs a deeply moving series of remembrance events each year. These Sunflower Remembrance Services are an opportunity for families and friends to gather in memory of their loved ones. The sunflower has become a poignant symbol in this journey of grief, reflection and hope.

A Collaborative Effort

To help make this year’s sunflower merchandise even more special, we supplied 50 wrought iron sunflower heads free of charge. These were beautifully transformed by the team at Medway Fabrications, who welded custom round bar stems and handcrafted sturdy display stands for the event.

Why It Matters

Heart of Kent Hospice raises over £6 million a year to continue providing free specialist care. The sunflowers are a way to help families remember, reflect, and support the work of this incredible charity. Every flower sold at the Sunflower Appeal will contribute to that goal, allowing more families to receive the support they need.
