Find The Needle Add My Company
How has the pandemic changed the way we work?
The pandemic has changed the way we live and how we work. Before coronavirus, the streets of cities across the UK and the world were packed full of workers. That has now changed for many. For many companies it will have been a struggle to decide whether to open their offices or not, due to the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and also the constant U-turns from the UK government around lockdowns. Are the UK population returning back to the office? According to data compiled from a survey performed by the Office for National Statistics, around 8.4 million people were working from home during 2021 which was an increase of 13.5% from 2019. Since, “Freedom Day” in July, it was found that only one in five workers have returned even though the rules state that employees are allowed back into their place of work. However, this could be down to the months of July and August being holiday months for many in the UK, so we could see an increase in workers returning to the office in the following months. How EWFM handled the pandemic: Like most businesses, the pandemic brought many challenges and obstacles for EWFM. Originally, we worked from home and when it was safe to do so, we opened up the office and the warehouse. Now that the UK is almost back to normal we are now starting to hit the road again. If any of our customers would like us to do site visits, our sales team are more than happy to come and see you. Our site visits usually involve discussions around the products and also measuring up. For example, we can measure up spaces where loading arms would be placed to ensure that you get the right product for you. Both our sales and marketing teams are going further with travelling to European countries booked in the coming months. It now seems that the way to work for most businesses is from home, but at EWFM we are back in the office and on the road, continuing to provide the highest quality service and products to our customers. Contact information: As always, get in touch with our Sales Team to discuss your next requirement wherever you are in the world and we will be delighted to help.
