PCB Cross Belt Sampler

The Cross Belt Sampler obtains a representative sample of granular material direct from a moving trough belt type conveyor. The unit has a single direction motion which sweeps the belt clean and discharges the material into a fixed type collection chute positioned at the side of the trough belt conveyor. The Cross Belt Sampler comprises of a sample cutter attached to a drive shaft carried in bearings which are mounted on a channel section baseframe. This is positioned directly above the trough belt conveyor. The baseframe is usually fixed onto a support structure anchored at the local floor level or to the conveyor stringers. The main features are: • Samples direct from the belt. • Stainless steel construction. • Wall-mounted controls. • Wire mesh guard protects operator during observation. • Meets BS1017, ISO and all international sampling standards. • Suitable for most types of trough belt (including deep trough type). • Designed for operation on all types of granular material. • Capable of high frequency operation (primary increments of 1 every 15 seconds). • Minimal installation work, particularly in retrofit situations. • Suitable for both open and enclosed situations. • Supplied with protection features to conveyor belt. • Minimum maintenance. • Operates on high capacity conveyors (e.g. 4000tph coal). • Easy to transport - suitable for mobile sampling
