This course is aligned with the requirements of IECEx OD 504 and is designed to provide an understanding on the principles of protection in explosive gas and dust atmospheres of plant and machinery, and the explosion-protection aspects of overhauling and repairing electrical explosion-protected equipment. This course is based on the requirements of IEC 60079-19 and other relevant standards of the IEC 60079 series.
There are no prerequisites for attending this course but a minimum of three years’ experience in the overhaul and repair of electrical equipment is recommended.
