Electricians that are obtaining or renewing a Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) Grade Card are required to demonstrate an acceptable standard of health and safety knowledge by passing the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Health and Safety Assessment.
At EPIT’s facility in Aberdeen we provide an invigilation and administration service for participants completing the 30 minute ECS Health and Safety Assessment, made up of 50 multiple choice questions (for more information please refer to the ECS Health and Safety Assessment Revision Guide.)
The completed assessments will be returned to the SJIB and the results will be sent within 3-4 weeks. Participants who successfully complete the assessment will be awarded a certificate that will be acceptable to SJIB for renewal of their grade card. The ECS Health and Safety certificate is valid for 3 years.
