Low Output Bolier Burners
It will operate on diesel fuel that was utilised for all the battlefield transport. Previous equipment had operated on either petrol or L.P.G with all it's inherent safety and supply issues. It should operate on 24 volt d.c. available from the same transport. Previous equipment had required separate generators to be available. It should be extremely flexible in terms of it's layout to enable it to be contained within the very restricted space available. It should provide clean and controllable burning to meet the requirements of cooking. It should be easy to operate by the users who would be cooks and not engineers. It should have an extremely high level of reliability due to the consequences of failure under battlefield conditions The resulting product was tested under the most severe Arctic and desert conditions by the Ministry Of Defence where it passed with flying colours and became the basis for their specification for this type of equipment. The major feature of it's design is that it is based around a small number of key component "modules" that can be mounted remotely from each other if necessary, or alternatively mounted on a flat chassis to achieve an extremely low profile burner with a maximum depth of around 100 mm. This contrasts with a conventional burner that has all the components mounted on a central fan-house casting with a depth of around twice that. This unique feature enables the various modules to be located wherever sufficient space is available within an appliance, rather than designing the appliance to have sufficient space for a conventional burner Since the original project with the Ministry Of Defence, the Superflex burner has been used in many varied applications within our traditional market place where space for a burner is also at a premium. Typical examples are; Range type cookers. Heating stoves. Mobile incinerators. Confined space heaters. Mobile sanitary water heaters and shower units. Low output boilers and furnaces
