Overview

Throughout the years Entecon Industries Ltd has manufactured many Automatic Bag Slitters for different types of food manufacturers.

The sack opening machine is ideal to open sacks with powders, such as flour (wheat), coffee, tea and petfood for sacks / bags of 10kg up to 80kg.

Entecon's Automatic Sack emptying machine supports the highest levels of food safety.

Project

Entecon has produced an Automatic Sack Opener for a Pet food manufacturer using the following; Potato Starch, Caster Sugar, Ground Linseed, Limestone, Dark Malt, Chickpea, Brown rice, Oat and Carob Flours, Ground Oats, Dextrose Monohydrate, Skimmed Milk Powder, Poultry and Meat Meal.

The client experienced bottlenecks due to the manual opening of 10kg, 16kg and 25kg bags of different types of products, leading to inefficiencies in production workflows and increased labour costs. With production demands rising, they required a high-capacity repeatable automated solution.

Objectives

The client and Entecon developed the design criteria which includes:

Improving the material handling process and contain dust / clean GMP operation

Enhancing throughput and meeting the production capacity of 300 sacks per hour

Reducing manual labour and associated risks

Ensuring compatibility with client's existing production line

Solution

Based on the client's criteria Entecon's Automatic Sack Opener (ASO) has the following design and features:

Opening 10kg to 25kg bags of product

Handling 300 sacks per hour

Dust Extraction Unit and dust free operation

1.5 meter infeed belt conveyor

HMI Touchscreen can be mounted on either side (customers choice)

Controls PLC
