Steel Chimneys

We manufacture and install steel chimneys, which can be carried out in our workshop or onsite, utilising a variety of materials including stainless and carbon steels and high nickel alloys. Applications include water, gas, steam and compressed air. Snowdens fabrication capabilities include: Diameters up to 1000mm. Welding to BS2633 (class1), ASME IX or BS297 (class II) with welders qualified in accordance with BS EN 287 Non-destructive testing Surface protection: painting, galvanising, powder coating, epoxy coating etc. Drawings from schematics to working fabrication and installation plans. Pipework and steel chimneys can be thermally insulated and electrically trace heated, following installation if required. Furthermore, we can carry out radiological, hydrostatic, hydraulic and pneumatic testing and inspection. All projects can be fully documented to include material and consumables certification, weld procedures, welder qualification, pressure test certification and non-destructive testing.
