Made in Sheffield Awards 2026
Celebrating Sheffield Excellence at the Made in Sheffield Awards
The Made in Sheffield Awards once again brought together some of the very best businesses, manufacturers, and professionals from across the city region for an evening celebrating innovation, craftsmanship, and achievement across Sheffield’s world famous industrial community.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate not only individual success stories, but also the strength of Sheffield manufacturing as a whole. With so many respected businesses, skilled professionals, apprentices, and industry leaders all gathered in one room, the evening was a great reminder of the talent, dedication, and innovation that continues to drive the city forward.
Last night at the Made in Sheffield Awards, our owner Charles Turner was presented with a special recognition award as he steps down from his role as Chairman of the Made in Sheffield brand.
Charles has been a passionate ambassador for Sheffield manufacturing for many years, championing the city’s world-renowned industrial heritage while helping promote innovation, quality, and craftsmanship across the region. Throughout his time involved with Made in Sheffield, he has worked tirelessly to support local businesses and ensure Sheffield manufacturing continues to receive the recognition it deserves both nationally and internationally.

His dedication to supporting local manufacturing and proudly flying the flag for “Made in Sheffield” has had a lasting impact on businesses throughout the city and beyond. Everyone at Durham Duplex would like to congratulate Charles on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his continued commitment to Sheffield industry.
The evening was also a proud moment for Durham Duplex apprentice Jack Harrison, who was nominated for Apprentice of the Year. Although Jack did not take home the award, being nominated amongst such strong competition is an incredible achievement and reflects the hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment he has already shown early in his career.
At Durham Duplex, we are passionate about investing in the future of manufacturing, and it was fantastic to see apprentices and young talent being recognised throughout the evening. Jack’s nomination highlights the importance of developing the next generation of skilled engineers and manufacturers who will continue Sheffield’s proud industrial tradition for years to come. Everyone at Durham Duplex is extremely proud of his achievement.

The awards evening was expertly hosted by Amy Garcia, who kept the event engaging, entertaining, and full of energy throughout the night.
Guests also heard from speaker Niall Shamma, who gave an excellent talk about the history and journey of Warp Films. His presentation was both inspiring and insightful, highlighting how Sheffield’s creativity, ambition, and identity have helped shape the company’s success over the years. It was fascinating to hear more about the history of Warp Films and their connection to the city.
Another guest speaker was Professor Keith Jackson, who spoke passionately about Sheffield’s industrial heritage and the importance of continuing to invest in the future of manufacturing, skills development, and innovation across the region.
Adding to the evening’s memorable moments, Ben Fogle presented the award for Best Start Up Company, helping to celebrate the next generation of ambitious and successful Sheffield businesses.
Events such as the Made in Sheffield Awards are incredibly important for recognising the achievements of businesses and individuals who continue to strengthen the region’s reputation for quality manufacturing and engineering excellence. The evening was not only a celebration of success, but also a reminder of the strong sense of community that exists within Sheffield industry.
Durham Duplex is proud to be part of such a respected manufacturing community, and we would like to congratulate all of the nominees, finalists, and winners from what was a fantastic evening celebrating the very best of Sheffield manufacturing.
