Our SuperFLO pipework system has been utilised throughout the refurbishment of a luxury hotel in Ethiopia’s Capital city of Addis Ababa. Already a prominent landmark in the city, the DAG Trading owned Nexus Hotel has undergone an eight-storey extension, to see it offer luxury accommodation across a further five floors. Constructing 85 new bedrooms across five floors was not without challenges and a reliable pipe network was needed to service the air conditioning system. African Supplies Limited, based in Bedfordshire, was tasked by contractor Ab-Ham with sourcing an appropriate pipework system and turned to us due to our extensive experience in providing piping solutions for air conditioning applications within leisure environments. As a result, Durapipe SuperFLO ABS pipe in sizes 20mm – 110mm was installed to transport chilled water from the main water chillers in the plant room located on the roof and distribute it to the air conditioning circuit on each floor. Specifically developed to convey chilled and boosted cold water, Durapipe SuperFLO ABS was the ideal solution for this application, not only due to its performance characteristics, but its quick and easy jointing technique reduced labour time and costs during the installation process.
