Deltabarn working on a North East Site

Deltabarn is presently working on the North East site which a is a solvent recovery facility, with four fractional distillation columns that separate a range of waste solvents into pure streams which can either be returned to the customer or sold on the open market. 

In addition to the distillation columns, a thin film evaporator (TFE) is used to recover solvents with high solids content. The current plant can process around 30,000 tonnes per annum via the distillation columns and an additional 10,000 tonnes per annum via the TFE. A range of different industries is serviced by the northeast site including pharmaceuticals, fine and agricultural chemicals, oil and gas, paints and coatings and the automotive industry, with recovered solvents going on to be used in a wide variety of different products. 

The project scope is to design, install and commission new distillation columns as well as all necessary supporting infrastructure including 17 new storage tanks. Currently, the project is in the construction phase and civil works are being carried out on the site.
