This was an extension to the existing residential care home to provide three new bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The location of the extension to the rear of the site made the construction process a challenge. We had to remove approximately 60cm2 of soil before we could start the foundation, with only a one metre passage way to the side of the property for access. During the works we had to consider the residence living at the home so the noise and disruption had to be kept to a minimum. We also had to move some of the residence to new rooms so the construction of a new entrance into the existing building could be formed. The works where completed in September 2008 and the site cleared and handed over ready for the new residence.
