Description D&E Hawgood Hinge The D&E  Hawgood hinges HA41 and HA42 are designed for larger swing doors. Max. Weight 60kg Door thickness 35-40mm Max. 1000mm wide Max. Opening angle 100 degrees HA41 and HA42 swing door hinges are available either with or without a hold open feature at 90° of opening. The shoe is manufactured in stainless steel (Grade 304) and the flat mounting plate is available in either zinc plated finish or stainless steel (Grade 304). The ALL stainless steel (Grade 304) models are recommended for use in areas containing food. Models HA41 and HA42 only differ in their spring force. The spring in HA42 is covered by a white plastic tube and the spring in HA41 by a black plastic tube. When combining both models on a door, model HA42 must always be placed at the top. The number of hinges and the model required (HA41 and/or HA42) can be determined with the formula show below. Up to 4 hinges can be fitted to one door (see table) please make sure that model HA42 is always mounted at the top. Furthermore the upper hinge should be placed as high as possible.
