Sponsoring the Students

Cirrus are proud to continue their third year of sponsorship of the motorsport department at Liverpool University who compete in the UK Formula Student championship. Formula Student is Europe's most established educational motorsport competition, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Backed by industry and high profile engineers such as Patron Ross Brawn OBE, the competition aims to inspire and develop enterprising and innovative young engineers. Universities from across the globe are challenged to design and build a single-seat racing car in order to compete in static and dynamic events, which demonstrate their understanding in research, design, manufacturing, testing, developing, marketing, management and finances. Formula student is an international competition, with events taking place in the USA, Australasia, Brazil, Italy, UK, Austria, Germany and Japan. The University of Liverpool Formula Student Team comprises of a mix of 23 third and fourth year Engineering Students who design, build and race a single seat, open wheel race car.
