Project Recap - Bridge Scour Protection - North Coast of Scotland

Our Burnside Plant piling team recently completed a challenging cofferdam installation on the very north coast of Scotland, supporting essential scour protection works to a listed bridge.

 

The temporary cofferdam created a dry and controlled working environment, allowing the client to safely install a long-term scour protection system and helping to protect the bridge foundations from erosion while preserving an important historic structure.

 

Operating in a coastal, environmentally sensitive location required careful planning, precision installation and close collaboration with all stakeholders. A great example of temporary works playing a vital role in permanent infrastructure protection.
