Span face height & style Arches
The arch span is the width of the brickwork opening. The face height is measured vertically at the jamb for flat arches, or along the line of any bed joint in segmental or semicircular arches. There are many styles of arch other than those mentioned on this site. A simple sketch or photograph will help us identify your needs and design a replica or complementary arch. The basic information should always be span, face height, joint width, shape at the extrados (top) & the shape at the intrados (bottom). A photo image taken square on to the arch and emailed with your enquiry gives all the additional information required.
