No time to swan around when there is bird flu about Through our links with Group Schnieder / Telemecanique we received an interesting project for Hydor Ltd. This project was for Bristol University and was to help in the investigation and study of Bird Flu. The system required was for a facility to control 28 cubicle lights, these lights where to simulate the rising and setting of the sun. The PLC was a Telemecanique Twido with Ethernet based remote I/O. There was also a small text based HMIto facilitate in setting the different on / off times together with the current date / time etc. The system was successfully completed on time and handed over to Hydor Ltd who were to install at Bristol University.
