Blundell Announces Technology Days 2026 in Brighton and Bristol with Kurtz Ersa

Blundell has announced two Technology Days events taking place in December 2026, bringing the latest developments in electronics manufacturing, soldering technology, PCB inspection and rework solutions to industry professionals across the UK.

Organised in association with Kurtz Ersa, the events will provide electronics manufacturers, production engineers and technical specialists with an opportunity to explore developments in modern soldering equipment and manufacturing processes.

With the electronics production industry continually evolving, the Technology Days will focus on improving manufacturing flexibility, production efficiency, quality assurance and energy management.

Blundell Technology Days 2026 – Dates and Locations

The events will take place at two UK venues:

  • Tuesday 1 December 2026 – DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole, Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 2FU.

  • Thursday 3 December 2026 – Village Hotel Bristol, Bullfinch Close, Bristol, BS34 6FG.

Both events will follow the same technical programme, beginning with registration at 9:30am and concluding at approximately 3:00pm.

Exploring the Latest Soldering and Electronics Production Technologies

The Blundell Technology Days will feature technical presentations from Ersa specialists, covering several important areas of electronics manufacturing.

Key topics include:

  • Wave Soldering and Selective Soldering – exploring flexible soldering solutions, including a pre-launch look at the POWERFLOW ONE, alongside selective soldering and press-fit technology.

  • VERSAGUIDE Quality Assurance – examining quality control in semi-automatic through-hole technology (THT) production lines.

  • ERSASCOPE X PCB Inspection – demonstrating optical inspection technology for examining hidden solder joints on printed circuit boards.

  • Reflow Soldering Technology – covering equipment availability, intelligent energy management and maintenance solutions.

  • BGA Rework and Desoldering – introducing the AUTO SCAVENGER solution for removing residual solder during large BGA rework processes.

The presentations will highlight how modern electronics production equipment can help manufacturers improve process control, maintain product quality and optimise production operations.

Technical Presentations from Ersa Specialists

The programme will include presentations from Christian Ott and Martin Dosch, Area Sales Managers at Ersa GmbH & Co. KG.

Sessions will examine practical manufacturing challenges, from selecting suitable soldering technologies to improving PCB inspection and rework procedures.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to gain insight into equipment developments and approaches to increasing efficiency within electronics production environments.

Supporting UK Electronics Manufacturers

The Technology Days provide an opportunity for UK electronics manufacturers to learn more about emerging soldering technologies and developments in production equipment.

Through its involvement with Kurtz Ersa, Blundell is helping bring specialist electronics manufacturing knowledge and technology updates to businesses across the UK.

The events will be particularly relevant to organisations involved in PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, soldering, inspection and electronic component rework.
