Axon’ Cable exhibits at the Paris Airshow
Axon’ Cable will be present at the Paris Airshow in Le Bourget from 17th to 23rd June 2013, both on stand D93, Hall 2B and on “l’avion des métiers”, an exhibition organized by the GIFAS, a French group of aeronautics and space companies. With 27% of its turnover achieved through aeronautics, space and military markets, Axon’ considers Paris Airshow as the place-to-be. Space and weight saving, high data rates, high frequencies and power distribution are just some of the many challenges that Axon’ cables and cables assemblies are designed to cope with. A high-level company The flight heritage of the company speaks for itself: data bus harnesses for A400M, A350, and the Ariane and Vega rocket launchers, miniature micro D connectors for the Curiosity Rover, cable assemblies and harnesses for the PROBA V satellite, high data rate cable assemblies, lightweight microwave coaxial assemblies and complete interconnect systems for UAVs. These interconnect solutions are tailor-made and especially designed for severe environments. Cabling engineering studies Designing flight control interconnect in order to reduce overall mass, or optimising the cable routing within an entire satellite are just some examples of what Axon’s expert engineering teams can achieve working with their customers. Study, prototyping, development and on-site integration: Axon’ is present during the whole project. This expertise will be highlighted at the Axon’ stand on “l’Avion des métiers”: Axon’ engineers will use additive manufacturing to create 3D mockups. This process consists of laying down successive layers of material to gradually form a 3D object. It makes it possible to rapidly validate a technical solution, but also to manufacture certain tools, jigs and fixtures for production.
