A real nervous system For Axon’, the Ariane 5 adventure started back in the 1990’s following the successful response to a tender from the Aerospatial company. A common development has given birth to data transmission interconnects which have cables every Ariane launch since. The 75th launch is also a success for all axon’ staff involved in this project. Axon’ in the Galileo constellation The system is progressively deployed and will eventually consist of 30 satellites including 3 active spares. Extremely precise with accuracy to within a meter, Galileo will allow Europe to have its own satellite navigation system.
