Waves & Wavelengths: keeping the waves in perfect condition at Surf Snowdonia

As a world-first inland wave lagoon opened its doors this month at Surf Snowdonia, atg UV Technology are pleased to announce another world first following the installation of their UV water treatment plant, designed to ensure environmentally friendly water for Surf Snowdonia customers. Whilst UV, a chemical free and environmentally friendly technology, is regularly used to treat drinking water and swimming pools, the application of UV disinfection for an entire lake the size of the Surf Snowdonia is ground breaking and believed to be the first installation of its kind. The containerised plants were specially designed by atg UV Engineers for Surf Snowdonia following months of computerised simulation and testing to determine the optimum UV dose and turnover rate to keep the natural body of water clean and fresh.
