The hotel is set to redefine premium luxury in one of China’s most vibrant and dynamic locations, offering 251 guestrooms, 355 residencies, restaurants and bars, and extensive spa and leisure facility with various pool experiences. Barr + Wray, one of the UK’s leading aquatics engineering consultants, had been appointed for the Engineering Consultancy, and subsequently contracted for the design and build for the Thermal Spa and Pool Equipment. Working with Barr + Wray, atg UV were selected based on their industry expertise to provide the UV which will protect bathers from harmful chloramines and inactivate chlorine resistant pathogens found in pools. As the market leader in UV systems for aquatics applications, atg UV will provide this impressive new hotel with their most compact range designed specifically for the swimming pool industry. The Rosewood Hotel will see 6 x Wafer (WF) Series installed, with each system guaranteed to deliver a minimum 3-log reduction (99.9% inactivation) of cryptosporidium. The ultra-efficient, easy to install WF is the most compact medium pressure UV system on the market, designed to fit into the smallest of plant rooms without comprising on performance. This chemical-free technology eliminates the problems associated with using chlorine as a primary disinfectant, such as ‘red eyes’, itchy or burning skin and removes any overpowering chlorine smell associated with pools.
