The ATD SolidJet printer addresses the current concerns of providing a safe and clean workplace environment and efficient, reliable coding and marking. The ATD Solidjet uses a wax-based dry ink supplied in pellet form, that is simply placed in the ink tank. No bottles... No pouring... No solvents... No mess... The ink dries almost instantly on any surface without solvent emission, providing one of the safest ways of coding your products. The Printhead and Ink Tank are supplied as an intergral unit. small footprint allows easy installation onto production lines. ATD Solidjet can print text and graphics from 1mm to 30mm high, at speeds upto 3m/s. By eliminating make-up solvents it dramatically reduces running costs , making it an economical (and odour free!) alternative to Continuous Inkjet printers. Unlike Thermal Transfer Ribbon or Hot Foil printers the only ink that is used is what you print- no paying for unused parts of the ribbon. The Solidjet printhead attaches to either the IP9000 or IP9000 Graphics controller for simple, menu driven programming and control.
