LATEST EVEREST VIDEOPROBE READY TO RENT FROM ASHTEAD
October 2008 LETCHWORTH - ENGLAND - OCTOBER 2008 - The portable and compact XL Go Videoprobe is the newest addition to Ashtead Technology Rentals’ extensive fleet of endoscopes, boroscopes and other remote visual inspection equipment. The instrument, from GE Inspection Technologies, is already proving popular with Ashtead’s customers because of its small size, portability and high quality image storage. Weighing under 2kg, with no bulky base unit, power cable or tethered scope, the XL Go is the perfect hire solution for a wide range of visual inspection applications with restricted or limited access, including the inspection of any inaccessible areas such as pipes, turbines, machinery and aircraft engines. The battery-powered XL Go uses the latest LED technology to transmit high quality light by a fibre optic bundle to the camera head and a VGA LCD screen provides a high-resolution data display. The internal Flash memory can record up to 1GB of both video footage and stills, backed up by 2 USB ports. Ashtead’s General Manager James Carlyle said: “The XL Go is a very welcome addition to our existing and comprehensive fleet of remote visual inspection equipment. Due to its lightweight and compact nature it can inspect areas that were virtually impossible beforehand.” “There are many benefits of hiring instruments such as the XL Go over purchasing outright. At Ashtead we have the very latest technology available, some of which would be very expensive to purchase, and therefore we cut out the capital cost associated with buying. Additionally, every single instrument at Ashtead is delivered fully-tested and ready to use straight out of the box.” Please visit www.ashtead-technology.com/uk for further information.
