Type 20 miniature belt conveyor systems

The Type20 miniature belt conveyors are versatile and extremely compact. They’re ideal for transporting small parts in automated machinery where space is limited. These very small conveyors use compact external DC motors with direct drive at the head end. As they are typically used for moving small, lightweight items in applications such as component manufacture, food and pharmaceuticals, load capacities are modest and standard speeds are lower than those of AC motor–driven belt conveyors.

Power and speed control
The speed controller has a 24 V DC, 0.1 A jack-plug input compatible with the 24 V DC power supply. Variable speed is achieved via PWM (pulse-width modulation). Due to the nature of PWM, adjustment is available from 9 m/min downwards. The controller is housed in a compact plastic enclosure with a simple on/off/adjust knob.

Power supply
A 240 VAC to 24 V DC transformer converts mains power for the Type20 conveyor. It includes a jack plug compatible with the speed controller. It can be used without the controller, but the jack plug must be removed and the wires connected directly to the motor terminals.

Mounting and accessories
Slot nuts are available for the aluminium profile, allowing accessories and mounting plates to be fitted. Thread sizes: M3, M4 and M5.

• Belt type: Blue flexible FDA-approved belt with positive tracking

• Lengths: 500 mm and 1000 mm as standard. Other lengths from 150 mm up to beyond 1000 mm are possible, subject to application and a surcharge for special belt manufacture

• Speed (nominal): Option A 9 m/min; Option B 27 m/min (under no or very light load; speeds reduce under heavier loads)

• Motor: 24 V DC; current draw approx. 0.15 A (no/very light load) up to 0.42 A max

• Weight capacity: Typically up to 1 kg per metre, dependent on motor selection, product and environment—please ask for guidance
