Thomas Vale Construction are a firm with an awful lot on their plates: with building sites across the country, and projects of every kind underway simultaneously, they were in real need of a way to visualise and organise all that activity intuitively and clearly. The company’s representatives, often on the road, required constantly up-to-date data to deliver to potential clients in pitch situations and other meetings. That information needed to be centrally updated and controlled by Head Office – so that it always incuded the very latest developments. The app we developed for them pushes new content to representatives’ devices regularly and automatically, keeping the salespeople informed – and their clients, customers and leads suitably impressed. The iPad application that we designed and developed for Thomas Value Construction achieved just that kind of relationship-building. The mobile application enables Thomas Vale Construction’s representatives to showcase all their construction projects, broken down by industry sector. The iPad application also contains every relevant piece of Thomas Vale Construction company information -including company profile, newsletters, policies, reports, plus accounts and environmental documents. Full control over the management of the App The app doesn’t end there: we also built in a map facility to show the locations of every Thomas Vale project. These projects and locations can again be filtered by industry sector – producing a map that is both attractive and impressively intuitive. Tapping a particular pin on the mobile application’s map displays the title of the project, with a link to a fact sheet detailing the work that was carried out. As well as the iPad application, we also built a web-based content management system (CMS) for the firm. This is used by Thomas Vale Construction’s marketing department to control the content of the application from head office. When new content has been added to the CMS, users are able to ‘resynch’ their device as soon as they have internet, downloading the latest content to their local iPad device.
