Applied Acoustics' Queen's Award Presentation
The Lord Lieutenant for Norfolk, Richard Jewson, has presented Applied Acoustics’ Managing Director, Adam Darling, with the company’s second Queen’s Award at a recent ceremony at the firm’s factory. The award, in the International Trade category, is recognition of its outstanding achievement in boosting export revenues over three years of continuous growth. Applied Acoustics, based in Great Yarmouth UK, designs and manufactures underwater acoustic positioning, tracking and survey equipment sold to the commercial offshore energy market, oceanographic research institutions and naval defence industries. The company exported to over 61 different countries in the past three years, including significant orders received from Japan, USA and Germany. “This is excellent news for us,” said Adam Darling, “I’m pleased for everyone in the company because a Queen’s Award recognises the true team effort required for exceptional commercial success in a very competitive market.’ The Queens Award for International Trade is a highly prized recognition of business achievement that rewards both export growth and corporate responsibility. Applied Acoustics was amongst only 105 UK companies to win this award in 2015.
