Our base station radios, available for hire, offer powerful yet user-friendly communication for any of our walkie-talkie radios. Designed for use in buildings, cabins, caravans, or other locations, these radios come with a mains transformer power supply and a clip-on antenna with a 10-metre lead, allowing for optimal placement and coverage. The Kirisun VHF or UHF 25W base station radio is compact and lightweight, measuring 15cm wide, 13cm deep, and 4cm thick, with a weight of 800g for the radio itself. When used in a building, the mains power transformer adds 2.8kg. The radio has eight channels, pre-set to the same frequency as our walkie-talkies, with a maximum range of 8-10 miles in clear, open areas, though this range is reduced inside buildings. The radios use standard VHF or UHF Ofcom-licensed frequencies, so there�s no need for you to arrange licensing-though we can reprogram the radios to use your own Ofcom frequency for a small fee. The base station hire kit includes the radio, power transformer, and 10-metre aerial lead with a spring clip for easy attachment to any suitable support. This setup ensures you get the best possible coverage for your communication need.
