SCR System, London – CHP

Part of the BREEAM guidance is to ensure that new developments installing CHP (Combined Heat and Power) Systems, will meet the low NOx targets that have been set out. Agriemach were asked to assist with meeting this target during a new CHP installation in London. The NOx limit was set at 15 mg/Nm3@5%O2 which was a high reduction of 97%. Working very closely with the CHP packager, Agriemach Designed, Manufactured, Installed and Commissioned this Selective Catalytic Reduction system to perfectly meet this limit. Agriemach offer all ancillary items to work with the SCR systems, such as Heat Insulation Materials which are made to the design of the SCR reactor and Mixing Duct, ensuring a nice cool touch temperature of below 50 degrees Celsius. Stop start compressors to work in conjunction with the SCR dosing system where efficiency and proven reliability in such an application is key to performance – along with bulk urea tanks, transfer pumps, filling points and transfer pipe runs. Agriemach have multiple SCR installations in London, but also throughout the UK and Europe. Working with a variety of fuel types, the company is able to help clean the NOx emissions on Natural Gas engines, Bio-gas, Diesel and Bio-diesel applications. Not only NOx can be dealt with, but also Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbons and Complete Soot Filters can be designed and integrated into the SCR System. As with any new or existing installation, it is critical to have a strong service and support network, something Agriemach offer to all customers which can include SCR service Contracts for replacement sensors, SCR Catalysts, etc – or the company are happy to help on an hourly or daily basis when required. The company have also been known to visit and support existing SCR System installations in London where other technology has been used.
