Automated External Defibrillation
A device called an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used to treat unexpected cardiac arrest. This Automated External Defibrillator (AED) portable device allows you to respond to a life-threatening emergency with confidence and ease. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) guides you in performing advanced cardiac life support, including analysing a patient’s heart rhythm and delivering high-voltage shocks. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) also tells you when to start CPR.  Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are designed to give non-medical personnel a chance to deliver life-saving shock with minimal instruction and training. Some people who have an Automated External Defibrillator AED at home either don't utilise it or use it improperly. Before an emergency occurs, it's important to be knowledgeable with how to utilise this life-saving tool Automated External Defibrillator, so you can give the patient the best chance of survival. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices are becoming more common in public places and businesses. Note: We will contact you after booking to organise the date for this course This course will teach you how to recognise an emergency, how and when to activate the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Course duration – 4 hours. Competency based training with no formal examination. The certificate will remain valid for 12 months Courses can be booked in house or at our training venue, as the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is covered on first aid courses, we only arrange this training on mutually convenient dates. Candidates should demonstrate their competence to: The Primary Survey Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Unconscious casualty management Chest pains including angina Cardiac arrest The chain of survival Using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Making a handover You might be required to use an Automated External Defibrillator AED, but don't worry - our trainer will show you how to do it to give the patient the best chance of surviving, understand the fundamentals of utilising Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in an emergency situation. This quick course will teach you all the essentials of using Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Cost £80 per candidate + VAT The minimum number of students are 4 with a maximum of 12
