Major Sugar Order in Brazil

Hägglunds Drives Brazil has received orders worth a total of 25 MSEK for drives to be used for operating sugar crushers in the new Usina Santa Isabel sugar factory in the state of Sao Paulo. The orders, which also include control systems and power units, are Hägglunds largest ever in Brazil, and arose through collaboration with Dedini, the biggest mill manufacturer in Brazil. “This is our first complete tandem in Brazil, and marks a breakthrough for Hägglunds Drives on the important Brazilian market,” says Bo Ljung, segment manager, sugar. The drive equipment is due for delivery in the end of 2007 and the plant is scheduled to be up and running when the sugar season starts next April.
