defective overhead glazing unit replacement works continue

Following the site visit and subsequent survey for a client in central london, Glazing Refurbishments have been working on replacing a fractured overhead double glazed unit. To carry out the survey, we utilised our team of IRATA trained abseil technicians. In doing so we were able to identify the necessary works quickly and easily to ensure the client had could make an upfront decision. The replacement works required a contract lift in combination with a powered suction lifter and secondary strapping device/manipulator due to the size and height of the glass to be replaced. A combination of 4 external and 2 internal IRATA trained abseil technicians were utilised in order to complete the works. First, the defective double glazed unit was removed, followed by the introduction of new transom detail. Once this was completed, the new double glazed unit was ready to be installed. The abseil technicians worked closely with the crane operator in order to safely install the glass on time and within budget.
