LONG-TERM PROTECTION FOR LEADING STEELWORK MANUFACTURER

A national galvanizing company is celebrating a five year partnership with a leading architectural metal worker and security specialist to supply its specialist one-coat paint solution. Wedge Group Galvanizing’s Haverhill-based plant, Acrow Galvanizing, has been working with the team at Mr Gates to provide its one-coat polyurethane solution, Galvacoat®, for a variety of projects including gates, railings, and balconies, to protect them against the elements, ensure longevity and to add a range of colour. Sunil Chandarana, Commercial Director at Mr Gates, explained: “We operate from our dedicated workshop and offices in Berkhamsted to provide our clients with a range of hand-crafted and bespoke pieces, which includes large gates, architectural structures, balconies and specialist pieces for local authorities, which we manufacture from ferrous and non-ferrous, standard and sheet metalwork. These complement our range of security products including Automation, CCTV and Access Control. “Our clients request a very high standard of finish, and by using Galvacoat® we’re able to offer them the added reassurance of long-term protection against corrosion and rust, whilst having the addition of colour, which gives a natural sheen and flexibility of design. It’s also a very quick and straightforward application, which works well on steelwork of any size and shape, so it’s a great all-rounder." Mr Gates also specialises in the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of architectural pieces which require careful handling, and has been a loyal customer of Acrow Galvanizing and the wider Wedge Group Galvanizing since 2013. Galvacoat® is specifically designed for use on galvanized steel and is engineered to adhere to the steel whilst offering a long lifecycle, an attractive range of colours, and durability.
