ACROW GALVANIZING ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FACILITY
Acrow Galvanizing has begun construction on a brand new state-of-the-art £6 million facility, which is set to create new opportunities and generate various local community benefits. The plant, which has been based in Saffron Walden since the mid 70s and employs 41 people, will be relocating to an upgraded facility in Haverhill. The new facility is part of Wedge Group Galvanizing’s continued commitment to enhancing its services, the plant will be constructed with the latest industry-leading technology and sustainable practices in mind, including integrated rainwater collection and storage systems. With the new facility scheduled to open early in 2016, the company will continue to operate as usual from its existing facility, ensuring there is no disruption to their customers. Steve Milnes, Regional Director of Wedge Group Galvanizing, explained: “We’re pleased to be starting construction on the new facility, which will not only enable us to further streamline our processes and improve the efficiency of our production line, but ultimately enable us to enhance the high level of service we already offer our customers. “Haverhill is just a couple of miles down the road from our current site, and will see us best placed to continue growing over the coming decades, as well as maintain our support across a diverse range of industries.
