SSC DERBY Unit 1a Trafalgar Park Victory Road Derby DE24 8BJ JOB DESCRIPTION - LASER OPERATOR Job description • To operate Bystronic BySpeed laser. • To ensure correct materials are used and future materials are ready to use. • Selection of correct cutting parameters. • PARTS COUNT/QUALITY. And bag or stack ready for despatch or ‘second operation’. • Arrange any missing or substandard parts from nest to be recut • Follow Company procedures and processes (Including ISO 9001:2008). • Record and report time taken for each nest. • Allocate and identify off-cuts created. Use correct off-cut from off-cut library as required. • Basic machine maintenance and cleaning. • Linishing and dressing of parts. • And to be flexible within the team to help others with processes. • Will be required to drive F.L.T training provided. • General housekeeping. SKILLS REQUIRED: Sound knowledge of laser cutting. Reporting to: Production Manager Based Trafalgar Park, Victory Road, Derby Shifts: 06.00 to 14.30 Monday to Friday, additional o/t as required. 13.30 to 22.00 Monday to Friday, additional o/t as required.
