Spooner Industries and Solaronics-Bekaert combine the best of their technologies to develop a new high speed paint curing oven

Spooner Industries, the world’s leading authority in forced convection technology, and Solaronics-Bekaert, specialists in infra red drying systems, have joined forces to develop a brand new combined air and near infra red oven that offers a wealth of benefits for high speed paint curing. These include faster cure times, reduced running costs and lower energy consumption. The partnership between these two leaders in their field has brought together Spooner’s air flotation expertise and Solaronics-Bekaert Near Infra Red technology. The combination of Near Infra Red for solvent removal and Air Impingement for the cure stages ensures optimum product quality. Customers with multiple lines gain the ability to produce the same products with the same paints on different lines. Spooner Air Flotation Systems include max float nozzle and precision perforated sheet to deliver even and constant heat transfer. Commenting on the partnership, Mike Hill, product specialist from Spooner Industries said, “Many advantages have already been revealed from combining these two technologies, in particular the ability of the Near-Air Combi Oven to cure conventional full thickness paint in under 8 seconds. In addition it will reduce energy consumption by at least 20% compared with an all electric system.” Mike will be attending the Metal bulletin Galvanizers conference in Istanbul, Turkey to deliver a presentation on the Near Air Combi System. Mike will also be hosting a stand throughout the conference on 28th - 29th September 2010, to demonstrate the benefits of the new technologies.
