Acoustic Louvres
Acoustic louvres are typically used in building openings to reduce airborne noise whilst allowing airflow through the louvre. They are also commonly used for screening of mechanical plant where the equipment requires airflow through the screen. Acoustic louvre constructions are available as either standard units to be installed in builderswork openings or as bespoke units to suit a wide range of different requirements. Acoustic louvres can be supplied in four different depths: ?150mm. ?270mm. ?300mm (chevron 2 x 150mm). ?540mm (chevron 2 x 270mm). Units can he supplied in a variety of finishes to suite the application: ?Pre-finished galvanised sheet steel or Aluminium. ?Polyester Powder paint (RAL or BS colours). ?Plastisol. ?Stove Enamel. ?Anodised (Aluminium only). Acoustic Louvres are available with the following features: ?Dummy sections, non acoustic. ?Birdmesh on the rear of the louvre. ?Special fixing details, eg external / internal flanges. ?Acoustic louvre doors (Kason Harnware). Pictured above right. Louvre blades are typically constructed with a 50mm pitch and mounted at 45 degrees, which are riveted and cleated.
