Safer Rust Removal Dipping Solution Kit This rust removal kit has everything you need to successfully remove rust from corroded components. Safer Rust Remover is not a fast acid treatment - instead, the removal is by gently getting into and under the rust dissolving it into the solution. Be patient and the results will astound you. There is no set time for total rust removal. Regular inspection and agitation to remove the loose rust will speed the process along. When the rust has been removed, threads on nuts and bolts will be deep and clean, casting marks and numbers will reappear, and components will have a long life ahead of them. All this from a product that is safe enough even for use with archaeological artefacts.? ? Product description A rust remover that will dissolve rust yet is safe with rubber and plastic. Directions for use 1. Mix the 1 litre of Safer Rust Remover with 4 litres of fresh water (or as much as you need in the same 1:4 ratio). 2. Fix the underwater heater onto the inside of the bucket via the suction bracket. Set the?heater at 25-30 degrees and leave to warm. When the temperature is reached the light will go out. 3. Remove heavy encrusted rust or grease from the component by wire brush or scraper, and then dip the whole assembled component into the solution. Rubber and other metals will not be harmed by the solution. 4. After several hours, lift the component out of the solution and scrub under running water, or if the rust is particularly heavy scrub while in the bucket. 5. If you require more rust to be removed, return the item to the bucket and inspect every day or so. 6. When you are happy with the results and all of the rust has been dissolved, wash under fresh water. 7. You can prevent flash rusting by continuing to submerge cleaned components in Safer Rust Remover solution until you are ready for the next stage of your project (e.g. painting, or coating the components in a rust inhibiting oil or wax). Cleaning Equipment used can be washed clean in fresh water. Safety Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, apron, eye and face protection.
