Position: Project Engineer Grade: £18,000 - £25,000 Status: Permanent Hours: Full Time (36 hours) Responsible to: Technical Engineering Manager Movetech UK is a leading provider of creative and practical movement solutions, including industrial turntables and air-film floatation equipment, for many industries and has been solving load moving challenges for commerce and industry since 1959. The company is committed to high quality product design, manufacture and installation along with a strong emphasis on customer care. As a Project Engineer you will be joining a small but specialised Engineering team in a company where the Technical Department is the core of the business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of technical engineering projects from the point of Sales handover to delivery and commissioning. During live projects you will be the main point of contact for the customers and will be responsible for several projects at any one time. The projects you manage will be for various industries such as construction, aerospace, automotive and nuclear, and your duties will include producing documents such as Project Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Quality Plans. There may be some requirement for design work in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor (3D) and you will have a responsibility to support all other areas of the business, such as sales, purchasing, production etc. from a Technical perspective. You will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with good organisational skills. Post graduate experience is desirable but not essential however experience in Project Management, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and mechanical design will be a definite advantage. You will be a confident engineer with a desire for continued professional development and you will be willing to take a prominent role in a small but successful technical team.
