Lakers; Three Times Winner of the ECIA BEST Award

Laker Vent has won the ECIA BEST Award 2007, 2009 & 2010 BEST was an initiative started some years ago. BEST stood for Behaviour Slips and Trips. It was an initiative designed to focus attention on reducing the most common cause of injuries in engineering construction (slips and trips) by focusing on behavioural safety techniques. It invited ECIA members to sign up by committing to a clearly defined action plan and reporting annually to ECIA on how it had been implemented. Each year ECIA’s Safety Health and Environment Committee considered the reports received and decided on an award to the ones that most impressed in terms of achieving the underlying aims of the BEST initiative.
