Going the Extra Mile
The brainchild of Paul Stalker, a renowned lifestyle and business consultant, The Extra Mile Partnership was established to deliver peak performance coaching that has a direct impact on their client’s profitability. After securing funding from a team of investors, The Extra Mile Partnership approached Brilliant to create a new brand identity, prior to their official company launch in May 2009. Working to a tight deadline, Brilliant used their tried-and-tested 'Pathway' project management process to develop a logo and brand guidelines, which were then applied to marketing collateral including company stationery, exhibition displays and a 56 page book. The first stage of our marketing strategy involved mailing the books out in a direct marketing campaign aimed at Senior-level Management in several large UK-based companies, accompanied by branded invitations to the company launch in Mayfair, London. Stage two required Brilliant to develop an eCommerce website to handle enquiries and sales, as well as responses to the direct marketing campaign. A wireframe of the site was created and approved, before being built on Brilliant's proprietary content management system SPRK (pronounced 'SPARK'). A high number of responses were received, and the launch was a great success; guest speakers included Charles Dunstone, CEO and founder of Carphone Warehouse.
